The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a thrilling plot showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and presented the first table of adventurers who will branch out from the primary party to begin their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.

That’s why, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.

At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear out of place, but the developments of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a intense initial meeting with the enemy group.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise started the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, attacking the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.

Casimir then settled his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • The adventurer knows the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • However, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the team access places they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter swore a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric turned against the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.

This means them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Questers and Planners tables.

Audiences can look forward to finding out which players will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, released on next week.
